Wario Ware: Smooth Moves

January 13th, 2007 Administrator

Only a few days left until Wario Ware: Smooth Moves comes out for the Nintendo Wii. I pre-ordered the game a couple of weeks ago. The sales associate from EB Games told me that the game is going to be shipping on Monday the 15th of January, 2007 and arrives Tuesday the 16th of january, 2007. If you haven’t experienced the game for Nintendo DS or any other Nintendo system you need to check this one out - if you have a Wii that is.

Wiicade.com…

If you’ve got a Wii and you’ve downloaded the free Opera browser for it, then check out WiiCade.com. It’s a site with a bunch of Flash-based games that you can easily play from your Wii’s browser. I’ve only played a few of ‘em but I’ve been hooked ever since Ashley told me about it.

Wii Mania Hits the House…

January 2nd, 2007 Administrator

Last Saturday I went to Best Buy prior to getting the group’s pizza and picked up Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Wii. Wow. I managed to stay up until about 5:00AM Saturday night / Sunday morning because I got so in to the game.

The other game that Katie really seems to be enjoying is Trauma Center: Second Opinion. The whole idea of the game is that you’re a surgeon that has recently completed his residency and you’re learning the ropes. At one point you find out you have these crazy magic powers called “the healing touch”.

Potential Wii Price Drop…

December 24th, 2006 Administrator

Many of you know that I have yet to get a Wii and I think that it may - for the time being - be for the best. Destructoid posted an article a few weeks ago that Nintendo may be dropping the price of the Wii by $50. I really hope so. Since I’m getting money for the Wii this means that I can ge the Wii and get some accessories or an additional game. So I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Nintendo is going to reduce the price. Once it goes through, if it goes through, then it’s just a matter finding one which may a challenge in itself.

ISOs of the Wii Kind…

December 21st, 2006 Administrator

Well, it was only a matter of time until someone managed to bust out some hack on the Nintendo Wii. Destructoid posted an article today about an application that was created by Victor Munoz that allows users to make ISO dumps of Wii discs. Most of you have probably seen the video of someone claiming to play a backup copy of the new Zelda game which is nice timing for this news. Maybe once some sort of application is made available to play the backups then it will prove useful and our buddy Victor can make a Wii ripping / playing suite.

Playable Wii Backups?…

December 18th, 2006 Administrator

Digg and Engadget both had articles today about someone that put out a video of themselves playing a backup copy of the Zelda game for the Nintendo Wii. The article was originally posted on MaxConsole.net with the video so go check it out. I guess time will only tell whether this is all true or if it’s another internet hoax.

Wii Have a Problem.com…

December 16th, 2006 Administrator

In the ever growing Nintendo Wii community, a new one has been found amongst the masses. WiiHaveAProblem.com is a site dedicated to all things Wii. One of the main things that Engadget has mentioned about the website is the list of injuries that people have received due to aggressive Wii playing. Over all it’s a great resource for Wii related topics that features some video action courtesy of YouTube.

Wii Strap Updates…

December 16th, 2006 Administrator

It’s been confirmed that Nintendo is offering updates to the original straps that came with the Wii controllers. Newer Wii packages should be including the updated straps but for those that already have a Wii that came with the old style, you can go to Nintendo’s strap replacement page. For loads of information on the replacements you can check out the full article + three updates on the Engadget article.

Wireless Wii Sensor Bar…

December 12th, 2006 Administrator

For the Wii lovers out there that hate the cord for the sensor bar, WirelessSensorBar.com has recently put out a wireless sensor bar - if the domain name didn’t give it away. The price is pretty reasonable at $24.99 + $5.00 shipping and handling. The only downside to having a wireless sensor bar is that you have to use a 9V battery for it and having to replace the battery would suck. But like the Engadget article says, it has an On / Off switch that you can use to help save the battery life. Who knows, I may get one once I get my Wii.

Nintendo Wii Arcade Controller…

December 11th, 2006 Administrator

Someone came up with the idea for an arcade controller for the Nintendo Wii and is not welling it on Ebay at

On Ebay the joystick is currently at $28.00 with four bids and ends on December 17th, 2006. So if you want to be the only kid on your block with a Wii arcade joystick then hurry and bid now! The guy that made it has a blog on Blogspot at http://butwhereisit.blogspot.com/ where you can get a lot more info on the joystick. There’s even a video of it in action. Check it out below.
